About Hokkaido University’s sake “Okuchi”
The name “Okuchi” and its label design were selected through a student competition. The two kanjis represent “depth” and “knowledge”, which is also the flower language of Trillium camschatcense, the symbol of the university. It also represents the university’s commitment to research.
