About Hokudai no Minori “Hokudai Raspberry” Products
Developed by the Field Science Center of Hokkaido University, Hokudai Raspberry is a new variety uniquely adapted to Hokkaido’s climate. 99% of imported raspberries in Japan might not survive Japan’s hot and humid climate, hence a new raspberry was formulated with small trees in hopes of giving elderly harvesters an opportunity to harvest them worry-free.
The raspberry is used in jams, sweets, and beverages through collaboration with local producers.
Product Lineup:
- Raspberry Cream Sandwich (12pax): A cream sandwich featuring crisp, thin wafers with Hokkaido University logo filled with a sweet and tangy cream made with raspberry powder. Best enjoyed within 180 days.
- Raspberry Crunchy Chocolate (8 pax): Crispy puffs coated in sweet and tangy raspberry chocolate, shaped into ready-to-eat sticks. Best enjoyed within 180 days.
- Raspberry Pie (14 pax/24 pax): A pastry featuring layers of flaky, melt-in-your-mouth puff pastry, meticulously folded and baked by artisans, swirled with aromatic Hokkaido raspberry jam.
